Nothing in my life looked how I wanted it to, and I was following what everyone else said I should do. Then I found **van life**. I saw it as a way where I could create my own world; that I could just sort of run away and live exactly how I wanted to live. Over here, we have many changes of clothes because they don't fit in my wardrobe under there; they're up here, you know. Great. We've got **Gloria**, my kettle, who's now missing an eyeball. That's great. We've got **Katana One** over here. She's super iconic. This is her foot. I kind of feel like I hacked life a bit. You know, I just ended up here, and it's like I found this place, and it's just, every day I'm so inspired by everything. I really wanted to share what I did because I know how much I needed those videos. I think it's because I felt like I was never truly alone. Like, if something bad was happening, or there was some drama with the van, or there was something good that I wanted to capture, I could do it. I could do it with a camera, and I could share it with all these people who cared about what I was doing. **Good morning, my wonderful friends...** The defining moment that made me change the journey of my life was when I realised I wanted some adventure that would make my heart beat and make me feel alive. It's not really about the van; it's about daring to be different. The goal of this journey for me is almost a personal goal because every time I challenge my fears and myself, I can look back at this in the future and say, "Wow, see how I lived my life!" Because I started as a person scared of almost everything. I challenged myself and lived those experiences. My favourite thing about van life is that I always live the experiences I haven't planned for. And I have to be on my toes, and there is enthusiasm for the next adventure I'm going to have, and the next place I'm going to end up. One afternoon, I get this idea. I go outside and start taking everything out of the car, and my Mum asks, "What are you doing?" So I reply, "Hang on, I'm just doing something." I explain, and she makes fun of me and says, "Why would you sleep in your car?" The van life project was really all about leaving when I wanted, having total freedom. I've always been drawn to adventure films, hitting the road and driving. Not just going to a destination, but also enjoying the journey itself. Yeah, I know that **Albert** is a bit basic, but I like that, you know? Because I feel connected to nature. When it's cold, you're cold, and when it's hot, so are you. I think that with all these trips and experiences I've had over the years, I realise the most important thing for me, and what I'm always searching for, is **freedom**. It's being able to go where I want, when I want, driving, stopping for months, weeks, or days in one place. Being able to do lots of things, or just staying put and doing nothing. I don't think we're really cut out for city life. We always got caught up in this frenzy of consumerism: You have to have a big apartment, it has to be nicely furnished, with loads of stuff... I think we lost the connection to ourselves a bit. Now, we're going our own way, and luxury for me is more about how I spend my time, how I spend time with friends, which great places we go to, and how we enjoy our time together. You don't need to keep looking over your shoulder: "What's this person thinking? What's cool right now?" Instead, you're content with these smaller things, watching the sunrise in the mornings, the sunset in the evenings. I hope that when people see our videos, they're motivated to pursue the life that feels right for them. To create a life for themselves the way they really want it to be. And it's this whole journey that's inspiring, I hope, and it can show people, young people, that it's also possible for them to experience small freedoms, little escapes through everyday things. I think that's what I want to show. When my followers message me, it always makes me happy. For example, the girls tell me, "Nour, you give us the energy to challenge our fears." Sometimes it makes me happy when fathers tell me, "I tell my daughter to check out your YouTube channel and I encourage her that even if she's not exactly like you, she can be like you in pushing beyond her limits, to be better, planning to study abroad, to do many things." This makes me happy. I want to make people really believe and see that there is **magic** in the world. And it's like if I can use myself and everything that I am to create something that other people can watch, and it just takes them out of their own reality, brings a smile to their face, or makes them honestly believe that anything is possible. That's what I want people to leave with.
