Not only I alone, but many people have noticed when we gather all together for the entire Sunday service. Through just my pastoral observations, I've noticed that the society of the congregation and the people of God either have things working out or things just don't work out for them. We are people that are imperfect, and what can all people that notice the imperfections of the church do? All these people are constantly unhappy with something in the church. I've noticed that these are the people who specifically do not worship God in a gathering. The reasons are all different why they don't do this. In fact, they see shortcomings, but they don't talk about them; instead, they go and fix them. If you understand what I'm speaking about, say **Amen**. We can see in the Bible hundreds of scriptures that speak about those specific people who were able to please God. He said that there are very boring chapters in the Bible, and she mentioned the chapter in which I wanted to share today. The boring chapter is **Matthew chapter 1**, and this entire chapter speaks about who gave birth to whom. There goes the birth record of Jesus. **Matthew chapter 1, verse 3** says that Judah was the father of Perez and Zerah, whose mother was Tamar. That breakthrough gave birth—just a simple Genesis 8. You can just go crazy with the screams of lifestyle. Then Noah built an altar to the Lord, and there he sacrificed a burnt offering of the animals and the birds that he had approved for that purpose. That's the first thing that he began to worship God. **Verse 21**: Look at the reaction that God had to his worship. The Lord was pleased with the aroma of the sacrifice. The original sacrifice—He wasn't just pleased with that worship. When he began to worship, the Lord breathed in this pleasing aroma. The reaction of the heavens was that a covenant was made: God would never curse the land because of the human race. We can see hundreds of examples, and then Archangel Michael, when he came today, explained how the spiritual realm works. The Archangel says to Daniel, "Imminent," that moment specifically to come and answer. The Bible says they wandered around for seven days, just being in the presence of God. On the seventh day, when they gathered, the Jews were able to fight, win, and be victorious because of the worship. Worship always brings breakthroughs. Judah gives birth to Perez and Zerah. You can cast out thousands of demons at home, but if there are only two people gathered together in worship, how important is this ministry for people to worship? Worship is an ordinary act that people take that overflows from a very specific state of person, and it belongs only to God. I would say that people interact like this only when something overflows out of their heart. That is why we see such different types of worship. Someone can jump around and move like this; someone cries constantly; someone will stand like a column and stare into the heavens. People do things in different ways, but we know one thing: this worship belongs not to man. That is why man is not the one to judge who worships how. Unfortunately, as a pastor, I often hear these things. I say, "Why did you miss out on the worship?" Oh, Tom, or they make mistakes in their songs. This is similar to that show where they show off their talents, and those judges that are sitting there are judging who worshiped God better or worse. Worship is a very unique service or ministry that pleases God, and it's not a situation where you can determine what you like or what you feel. Now, a very important verse that will go inside your heart and will be with you to the end of days: the name of Jesus. There are also similar verses—thousands of them. One of them is **Psalm 141:5**: "Accept my prayer as incense." The Bible says that our prayers and our worship are throughout the entire Bible. It says just go look at the synonyms of how many times "pleasing aroma" is listed. Our worship is always a pleasing aroma and smell to God. Pastor Terence will also visit us in September, and he will give a leaders' meeting and serve on Sundays. Two weeks ago at the conference, God gave him a vision. Every time someone comes out on the pulpit and says something, I always compare it to what it says in the Bible. He said God showed him a vision that He is sitting on His throne, surrounded by great glory. On the video, he sees how the Church of Christ is worshiping God Almighty from the earth. He said, "I saw how their worship—every person is going up to God." All these people worshiping are like lights, their streams combining, breathing in, and He was pleased with the worship happening on earth. Of course, I went through all the scriptures and chapters to find something similar that it says in the Bible. But what kind of thoughts do you have going on? No one knows about these things besides God. He sees them, but test yourself: what kinds of things are you doing, not depending on what the style of music is or the words happening? What is in your heart, and not depending on if somebody is distracting you on the side during worship or if the chords are not playing correctly? Do you know how Daniel was being distracted during worship? It is not something that's comparable to what was just a distraction today. There was nothing in the way for Daniel to worship. That is why you must change out of you specifically during the worship. Maybe something that is coming out of you is repetitive, and you're saying "Hallelujah," or maybe there's a stench coming from you. But anyway, your heart has a stance. Are you judging? Are you being jealous? Are you being tempted? But in that moment, you're saying, "God, I love You." The thing is, God doesn't accept all kinds of things. Jesus gives us a teaching on this, like **Matthew 15**. It says, "You hypocrites, worshipers, people that come together." He says, "For these people, they come close to Me, Lord, and they honor Me with their lips, but their hearts are far from Me." If our hearts are showing some kind of discontent or any reason—maybe where and how someone worships—yes, but if our hearts are being shown to be very unhappy with the worship or the music or the acts on stage, just think about it: is God being pleased with your worship? In Seattle in 2005, his office was on a very high level—maybe thirty to fifty buildings. Just to get to that building, I had to go through homeless people. You know, when you get through the bums, you show them some kind of attention. I saw such disorder in their life, and their stench was horrible. If you saw that, you would understand. I'm very—just so you know me close—people that walk through the door, I can already tell what kind of deals they have if they showered or not. Those smells, when I was talking with them, and I entered the building super clean, the marble was just shiny. A group of girls were coming back from their lunch, probably not, and they were wearing nice perfumes that smelled so weird. I started to distinguish the smells between the homeless people and these girls in the elevator. Then we got to the 9th or 10th floor, and those good-looking girls stopped in my eyes. I didn't know what to do with myself, and they had a very shameful look on their face. They began to look at each other with a mystery. One of them even looked at me, thinking the smell was coming from me. I'm always there; I'm the kind of person that's always looking for spirituals. I learned a lesson: what is the good, pleasing aroma to the Lord, and what kind of smell comes from even beautiful people? God is waiting for this house to be filled with a pleasing aroma. God says, "I want you to get it. I want you to—you. I want your hearts to become incensed." It's so important that every single person's heart is important. Worship in a way where God won't refuse your worship or reject you. **Second question**: How important is worship? When we worship God, the Bible says that it is very important to prepare yourself for worship. Ask yourselves a question: who, before they come to church, has prepared themselves for worship? Depending on how well your voices ring, that sinner, that priest, they would pull them out. That is how important it is for God. We should come with a clean heart. At that moment, it is one of the most important in our lives when we come to worship. It is more important than any sermon. More than half of the building was not full yet. When it is all pointing to your relationship to worship to God, you know when the priest would come to worship God, not only his life but the destiny of your entire family, your children, and their destiny depend on it. You won't measure the presence of God. When I fellowship with people, I experience God. It is just like that. You know, and that's what Jesus said: "Someone touched Me." Thousands of people just touched You, but Jesus on earth said to Himself, "Let thousands go worship, but thousands of them touch Him." "I will touch Him right now where my destiny will change." She didn't look at who was touching Him the right way and who was touching Him with what. Here's a woman: what kind of touch did you have towards God today? What kind of touch will you have when you worship at home? What kind of touch will you have on Friday if you do come for prayer? You'll prepare your hearts. **Let's stand on our feet to repentance.**
