This is how a wholesome gaming Easter egg accidentally became the most depressing story. See, back in 2018, right before the release of *Marvel's Spider-Man*, a gamer named Tyler had an idea. He would post a tweet asking the devs of the game if they could put the message, **"Madison, will you marry me?"** anywhere in the game. To Tyler's surprise, they actually listened and included his message outside the movie theater inside the game. But it ended up being the worst moment of his life. Just two days after the Easter egg was released, Tyler posted this video: > "The thing that sucks about this Easter egg is my girlfriend dumped me to go with my brother." But somehow, it gets even worse. The story ended up going viral, and now all these gaming journalists wanted to interview him and his ex, publicizing that toxic relationship to the world. In the end, the devs decided to completely remove the Easter egg.
