**Trex Aviation's XFv2 and XMv2 Fixed and Mobile Fog Detection Systems** Trex Aviation's XFv2 and XMv2 fixed and mobile fog detection systems utilize phased array millimeter wave radar technology to detect FOD (Foreign Object Debris) objects across airfields in any weather conditions, day or night. Our new and improved fog detection systems are smaller, lighter, and faster, all while using less power and requiring almost no maintenance. With FAA and FCC approval, the XFv2 and XMv2 FOD detection systems are the most reliable tools to keep your airfield clean, safe, and ready for takeoff. As the only FOD system designed and built in the United States, Trex Aviation is the best option to improve safety and flight readiness at your airfield. The XFv2 FOD detection system is a static radar system utilizing multiple radars that observe the entirety of the runway and taxiway areas with 24/7 continuous coverage. The XFv2 system provides faster detection capabilities at longer ranges than the previous version while using a quarter of the power and a low weight compact design. High-resolution cameras capture images when FOD is detected for easy verification and tracking of FOD defense. Utilizing a phased array antenna format eliminates the need for mechanical parts to sweep across the field of view. No mechanical sweeping makes the XFv2 more reliable and requires less maintenance than other radar detection systems. As opposed to radars that mechanically scan the field of view, each Trex XFv2 radar continuously monitors a 300-meter section of runway at all times with rapid detection capability. FOD will be detected between each takeoff and landing, ensuring the runway is clear of debris for each flight. With a low power consumption of only 50 watts, the XFv2 system is environmentally friendly and can be run in any environment 24/7. With a solar panel array and battery power supply, detections can be monitored from a live overhead map that is available as a desktop app or web application. Detections are automatically recorded securely on-site in Trex Aviation's user-friendly database. The Trex Aviation FOD database allows for custom classification of detected FOD objects, time filtering, and several plots for intuitive data visualization. Also included is a FOD heat map that shows where most FOD events occur and can help identify potential runway damage. Spot detection is displayed in the FOD table with detection time info, location info, and overhead map location and camera image. Individual or comprehensive reports can be saved and shared as PDF files, and a full detailed data set can be downloaded in CSV or XML format. For airfields with less traffic that do not require immediate detection and 24/7 coverage, the XMv2 mobile FOD detection system is the ideal solution to mitigate FOD events. With a 120-degree radar beam width, the entire width of the runway can be covered while driving down the center of the runway. FAA standardized targets with radar cross sections of -20 dBsm are detectable at speeds up to 60 miles per hour, while smaller objects are detectable at speeds up to 35 miles per hour, with detection accuracy within two meters of actual FOD location. Detected FOD are easy to identify and collect, improving the efficiency of FOD inspections. Capable of installation on pickup trucks, SUVs, and large sweeper or vacuum trucks, the XMv2 mobile FOD detection system is ideal for periodic FOD sweeps and is the perfect tool to assist ground crews in FOD identification. Requiring only a 12-volt power supply, the XMv2 mobile FOD detection system can be powered directly from most vehicle batteries or using an external auxiliary battery. A touchscreen tablet is installed in the operator's vehicle with the user interface pre-installed. Startup is as simple as pressing a single button, and then the system is ready for use within two minutes of powering on. The XMv2 graphic user interface includes a radar power button, control panel button, and three status indicators for radar status, truck speed, and GPS accuracy. Sensitivity can be changed manually with the three sensitivity buttons or automatically with polygons custom configured by Trex radar technicians specifically for the needs of your airfield. Once a FOD inspection is complete, the power button on the right will initiate shutdown of all electronics and the radar system. With Trex Aviation's XMv2 mobile detection system, FOD inspections are as simple as powering on, driving the runway, retrieving FOD items, and powering down. The XMv2 system is simple enough for anyone to operate, enhancing their FOD inspections to improve the safety and efficiency of your airfield and flight personnel. Trex Aviation's fog detection systems are second to none.
